John joined KoBold from T. Rowe Price, one of the world’s largest asset managers, where he worked in equity investing for nine years. He is a seasoned commodities investor, covering the metals and mining sector as an analyst for four years and then running the global metals sector research team along with serving as the portfolio manager for the ~$8B Real Assets Metals and Mining fund (RAFMET). While at T. Rowe Price, John first invested in KoBold at the end of 2021 and ultimately led multiple rounds for the company. He was also a board observer prior to joining full-time. Before investing, John worked at American Express as part of the CEO’s Strategic Planning Group.
John holds an undergraduate business degree from the University of Michigan (and is an ardent fan of the football team) and an MBA from the Wharton School.
