Geology Manager, DRC
Franck is a geologist with over 14 years of experience in copper exploration. He was a member of the geology team that led to the discovery of the Kakula copper deposit, which is part of the Kamoa project– the largest discovery in the history of mining on the African continent. As a Chief Geologist at Kamoa Copper, he led the Geology department and provided input into mining operations, coordinating a team of 15 geologists and 62 technicians. He managed the surface and underground drilling activities in the Kamoa project area, as well as the 10,000 m of underground resource definition drilling of the historic Kipushi Zn-Cu-Ge-Ag mine– the world’s highest-grade zinc deposit.
Franck obtained his Master of Science degree at the School of Geosciences of the University of the Witwatersrand, and his Bachelor Honours Degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at the University of Lubumbashi.
