Principal Geologist
David is an exploration geologist with over 18 years of experience in mineral exploration. During that time, he has been involved in the discovery and development of multiple mineral deposits. He is credited with leading the discovery of the Nautanen North Cu-Au-Ag-Mo deposit, Sweden, and was a member of the team taking the Gounkoto gold deposit, Mali from discovery into production. His key areas of focus are within iron oxide copper-gold, porphyry copper-gold, magmatic nickel-copper-PGEs and orogenic gold mineral systems in Fennoscandia, North America and West Africa. David has also been involved in exploration for carbonate-hosted lead-zinc and epithermal gold.
David obtained his undergraduate degree in Geology from the University of Edinburgh in 2007, subsequently completing a MSc in Mining Geology from Camborne School of Mines in 2008. He recently completed a PhD from University College Dublin-iCRAG in 2023. His research focused on the characterization of the Nautanen North Cu-Au-Ag-Mo deposit, Sweden. David is a registered Professional Geologist (PGeo.) with the Institute of Geologist of Ireland (IGI) and holds the title of EuroGeol.
