Elliot Kahn is driven by discovery and the opportunity to lead high performing teams at the cutting edge of applied data science and mineral systems. As a geologist, Elliot has lead a range of global exploration projects in Canada, Zambia, South Korea, Australia and most recently in the DRC. Elliot develops an overseas KoBold’s Lithium Portfolio through identifying exploration opportunities and applying KoBold’s exploration technology. He manages a global team of data scientists, engineers and geologists both in the field and remotely. He prides himself on fostering a positive dynamic team culture that results in team stability, ensuring that valuable insight is retained from every exploration program and built into future program design. Elliot takes a hands-on approach and is fully involved in all aspects of program management, from government affairs to local community engagement. His fluency in French allows him to connect with people across many regions.
Through his previous roles at BHP, Elliot has experience with tier 1 operating mines and brownfields exploration. He also has experience in geological modelling of complex structurally controlled ore systems. Elliot earned his Graduate Diploma in Predictive Analytics from Curtin University, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science and Geography from the Australian National University.
